Scholarships for Music Education Majors

SMEA offers $1,000 - $4,000 scholarships to students majoring in Music Education.

Applicant must be at least an undergraduate senior or graduate student.

Applicant please include in resume:
1. Personal profile - name, phone number, email address, year in school
2. Complete official transcript of undergraduate and graduate course work to date, sent directly by your school
3. An essay on what you intend to do in music education
4. Statement of your financial status, covering your total expense per year and sources of income, including financial aid and from your own earning. If receiving financial aid, include an official copy from the financial aid office.
5. What music-related activities have you been involved in for the last 5 years
6. A letter of recommendation sent directly by a professor

Student Recitals

Location & Time: TBA

Requirements:
1. Limit three students / teacher, preferably only one in elementary level playing 8-measure compositions.
2. Repertoire must be well-memorized.
3. Students must observe recital dress code.
